Hospital Based Physician Coder/Coordinator
The Coordinator of the Hospitalist Department will provide overall administrative support for the needs of the department. This includes the following:
Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a charge capturing system
Responsible for the daily oversight of physician charge submissions
Assists in EMR and EPIC implementation
Performs regular reviews of the physicians/PA/NP documentation for all Part B Services. The results of the review will be communicated with the providers in a group or individual in-service training session
Maintain a scoring of each provider to assist in the determination of a focused review
Review update and maintain all of the departments/providers preference lists in Epic used by the part B billing department
Provide documentation and coding training for all new providers
Review CCI Edits (Correct Coding Initiative) with the providers. Assist in the review and use of modifiers and any denials that may have resulted from a coding issue
Liaison between regional hospital services with credentialing, risk management, physician billing, HR and other departments as needed or required
Responsible for the preparation of check requests, all departmental correspondence, and maintaining shared drive to support departmental needs
Maintains daily lists of current hospital physician staffing
Coordinates and tracks the orientation and training for new physicians
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Certified Professional Coder with at least 2 years coding experience
Medical Billing Experience and knowledge of hospital procedures preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
