Medical Director - Hospitalist Program
Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a 537- bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island. The Hospitalist Medical Director will provide medical direction for the day-to-day operations of the Hospitalist program.
Schedules and holds regular Hospitalist monthly meetings with hospitalists and communicate regularly with mid-level practitioners to ensure quality of care
Responsible to Hospital Administration for the Hospitalist Services medical management of and leadership for the hospitalist program
Participates in management development programs
Develops and implements an appropriate quality assessment and improvement program
Advise and assist in utilization review activities for the Hospitalist program
Work with Hospital administration in the timely planning of activities, including the annual development of Hospitalist program objectives, and provide leadership with ongoing appraisals of the strengths, weaknesses and overall quality of the program.
Ensures the program is operated in accordance with all requirements of the Joint Commission, all applicable licensing requirements, and all other relevant requirements promulgated by any federal, state, or local agency
Works in conjunction with other Hospital leaders to assist with development and maintenance of Quality Improvement Programs and JCAHO standards
Review, investigate and report all hospitalist/allied health professionals complaints arising from Medical Staff, administration and patients.
New York State Medical License
Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Extensive Training/Experience in Hospital Medicine
Career interest in Hospital Medicine and Medical Administration preferred.
BLS/ACLS/ATLS/AED training required and accepted from only 2 organizations:
American Heart Association - BLS/ACLS/ATLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program
American Red Cross - CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
No online programs from any organization will be accepted.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
