Product Specialist- Atlantic Toyota

The Product Specialist will be trained similar to the sales consultant, with a higher focus on customer interaction and product knowledge allowing them to deliver a world-class experience to each customer. They will greet customers, demonstrate vehicles, perform test drives that demonstrate the features and options of the vehicle and negotiate pricing with the customer. They will be required to follow up with each customer ensuring favorable CSI through the dealership CRM.
The Product Specialist is expected to dress in a neat and business-like manner and be organized. They possess strong communication skills.
Prior auto sales experience is not required. Bi-lingual is not required but is a plus.
All Product Specialists must complete the training program successfully before they work with customers.
Some of the responsibilities that they may be required to execute on a daily basis:
Understand cars by studying their features and capabilities, as well as comparing and contrasting competitive models
Develop good rapport with previous and new customers
Qualify buyers by understanding their interests and requirements; matching requirements and interests to various models, etc.
Continuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, attending seminars and reading professional publications
Figure out customer's needs by listening and asking questions
Perform walk-around presentation with new and old customer and demonstrate features of suitable vehicles
Ensure that customers understand the vehicle's operating technologies
Report to the sales manager regarding reviews, analyses, objectives, and planned activities
Participation in sales meetings and training provided by the dealership and manufacturers
Learn the contact management systems to contact potential sales leads, orphan owners and make follow up calls
Additional hiring requirements for the position are:
? A valid clean driver's license
? Must be excellent at communicating information to visitors and inquirers
? Professional dress code is required
? Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background inquiry
The ideal applicant will have at least a year of customer-facing experience, whether in an office, a showroom, a restaurant, or retail environment. You must have strong people skills, an energetic and enthusiastic approach to customer interaction, a positive attitude, and drive. You also should have good computer skills in order to use our customer follow-up tools, and you should know your way around the Internet with a strong grasp of email and texting.

Conducts vehicle test drives and ensures all speed limits all other rules of the road are followed
Helps customer with vehicle selection and promotes model options and features, value-add products and services, and purchase and finance options following dealership policies
Helps facilitate delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirements
Maintains accurate sales documentation
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotions
Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, co-workers, management, and others
Previous sales experience a plus (any industry)
Professional appearance and demeanor
Must be a "people person" but still know how to control the deal
Must have a valid and clean NY state driver's license

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
